Woke up, made coffee, read on the balcony, looked at and listened to the early morning ocean tide roll in. I love mornings in Bahia de Caraquez, Ecuador.
We went to the farmers market early this morning and are starting to be recognized and develop a relationship with the vendors we buy from. There is one woman we buy our Sandias (Watermelons) and Pinas (Pineapples) from. Today she shook each of our hands and asked how we are.
There is an older gentleman that we buy our bananas from. He has a very kind spirit and eyes that smile when he looks at you. I would like to buy more things from him but he doesn’t usually have a big variety of items. We didn’t need more bananas today, but we went by to see what he had that we could use. He did have some Naranjas (Oranges) so we bought six for one dollar. He gave us each one free banana…that’s just the kind of man he is!
Easton made us a great dinner tonight…swordfish, sautéed onions with mushrooms and hot peppers, white rice with sliced tomato and avocado. Absolutely delicious!
We are eating at 9:30 pm. Wow…we are becoming more Ecuadorian each day!
Chao.
Hi everyone. I am having problems getting to remember to send my comments. This format is new to me but it is well done. I could use Easton in our Kitchen. I would love the variety of food you eat. I hope Keeper is all right. I hope you do not have bed bugs and lice down there. It is okay Heidi, I will squirm if you do. I seem to be going backward on this format.
Keeper is good Gayla, and so far no bedbugs for anyone. As far as format, the latest post is always on top. Scroll down or use the search bar to find earlier posts.
