Helping You Make the Most of Ecuador

This is Ecuador

Whether you plan to travel to Ecuador for just a visit, or are making arrangements for living in Ecuador longer term, these resources are worth taking a look at.

Viva Travel Guides Ecuador

This is my favorite guide while traveling in Ecuador! It is filled with information on where to go, what to see, what to eat, where to sleep…and so much more. It’s the “anywhere and everywhere” in Ecuador must have reference to get the most out of your travel here!

Laminated Ecuador Map

I love this map. It’s waterproof, durable, and I can write on it with a marker to jot notes, and wipe it off later. I keep it in my backpack ready to go with me as I travel around Ecuador. You will love it!

Pimsleur Spanish Language Program

In addition to individual and group live classes, I have used Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, and Pimsleur to learn Spanish. Pimsleur is the best computer based learning I have used. I love the science behind the program, and it works! It was developed to introduce new words, and then bring them back up at specific intervals that promote memory retention and learning.

The other thing I love about this program is the back and forth of the conversations in each lesson. Developing an “ear” for the language is just as important as knowing the words. The program asks questions in Spanish and you answer back. It prepares you for having actual conversations with people around you.
