More Friends Visit
Our friends Roy and Melody from Bahia (or San Clemente now) have come for a visit for a few weeks. They are headed back to live in the States in July, so we are finding adventure around the coast with them while they are here. Unfortunately the weather here on the coast has turned gray, cloudy, and with periodic rain…all week so far. Still, the temperature has been extremely pleasant, so as much as I want to see some sun, I am happy being warm and living on the beach.
This is what I have been looking at all week…
Of course it used to look like this…
Hopefully this picture will return soon because adventure awaits. We are trying to work in a whale watching trip as soon as we have a sunny day in Ecuador.
The Beach
Cloudy or not, we all have been able to take great walks on the beach. On this particular day we came across a dying sea ray.
After that, we walked up to a bunch of people from our village in San Jose working a net in the ocean surf. Roy was quick to jump in and lend a hand. I only saw one fish in the net before I continued on, but it was impressive for being in such shallow water…like where we swim all the time. 😉
Adventure Is Waiting
I met a reader of my Ecuador blog, Jesse, and his wife, Connie, from Dallas, Texas. They have been traveling Europe, Asia, and the Middle East for the last 2 1/2 years and have finally arrived in South America, specifically Ecuador. The great thing about blogging is that I end up meeting fascinating and interesting people as a result.
Talk about adventure! Jesse and Connie didn’t disappoint as they shared with all of us over lunch their adventure since retiring and leaving the States. Listening to them, I am reminded that life is too short to not start traveling as soon as possible. So many places, so much adventure…just waiting to be had!
Jump in and head out to your next adventure…what are you waiting for?
Chau.
