I had a great sleep and woke up feeling good. I like the mornings on the weekends, they just feel more relaxed. My coffee seems to taste better too!

I guess Heidi had an interesting thing happen the first night Easton and I were gone. About 2 am Keeper, who was asleep in our bed, woke up and just stared at the bedroom door. She walked to the edge of the bed and that woke Heidi up. As Heidi was watching Keeper, she heard someone trying to open the metal door into our condo and Keeper started barking.

I don’t really have an explanation. This has never happened before, and it is the first time Easton and I have both been gone leaving Heidi alone. The good news is, no one can get in through our doors once they are locked. We have a solid metal gate door with a huge deadbolt in it. Then we have our wooden door with a separate dead bolt in the door and lock in the door knob. Our balcony doors also have good locks. No one is getting in.

It makes me feel good that Heidi locked herself in safe and secure, but it is weird someone was even trying to open our door. The condo below us is rented out regularly to different people. I wonder if someone got their floors mixed up, came to our floor instead of the 4th floor and tried to get in thinking it was their unit? Hopefully that is the explanation!

Heidi also told me that while I was gone, two separate incidences of people being robbed occurred in town. Oddly enough the people robbed in both instances were Ecuadorian, and it was done by men riding by on motorcycles. I don’t have all the details. What I do know is that I am alert whenever two people are on one motorcycle and may be riding by close to me on the street.

The important thing while living here is to pay attention to your surroundings. I feel very safe here, and for the most part it is safe, but shit happens; so it’s important to be alert.

I have spent the majority of my day working on my blog posts. Easton is creating his own website to begin vlogging (video blogging). Heidi has been taking care of us, making sure we have eaten, that we get our green drinks, and even made a new batch of chocolate treats for us.

I’m a blessed man!
