It’s been a chill Sunday Funday. Outside for most of the day it has been sunny. I’ve been working at my computer, which sits in front of a large window, watching the locals play soccer in the park across the river. Sundays are a big park day for the soccer players, and the families who watch it and play other games with their kids. It’s family day for sure.
Our landlords are our of town today and asked us to feed Max. When I went down this morning to do that, all he wanted to do was play. I’m not sure how much he weighs but when he stands and puts his paws on my shoulder we are almost eye to eye. He is a good dog.
I took him for a walk along the river. We walked by all the families using the park and those watching the soccer game. Max is getting to be a more disciplined walker which is great for me…not as much whiplash from his sudden bolts to any nearby tree.
I forgot to share a great dinner Heidi made a night or so ago. After Easton’s Birthday we had left over cake and ice cream that we “had” to eat each night until it was gone. Combine that with our dinners heavy in starch, we were in need of something light.
Heidi roasted and seasoned some pumpkin squash, cauliflower, and broccoli. Then she put together a delicious spinach salad with strawberries, onions, hard boiled egg, and a little fetta cheese and crumbled bacon. Topped off with a half-slice of her homemade bread and little red wine…it was perfecto!
