Wow! That was a rough 24 hours. Not sure what I’ve come down with, but chills and chattering teeth are not my idea of a good time. I think my fever broke an hour ago. I’m glad I have a wonderful wife to make sure I stay hydrated, and with healthy green drinks to boot!

During the night when I was freezing and burning up at the same time, I thought about getting into my hot shower and just let the steam fill my lungs. The only problem is, the hot shower I was thinking about was the one at my old house in St George. I then became aware I was in Ecuador and a hot shower with steam would not be happening. It’s funny how delirium plays tricks with your mind.

Easton went to Boot camp this morning and Spanish class this afternoon while I stayed bundled up in bed all day. I will say it was nice being able to just stay in bed while I was sick. Staying home sick in bed was never an option while I was working. Somewhere along the way the expectation (probably my own) became that you just load up on ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine, go to work and tough it out.

Heidi has started her own daily workout routine with a couple of her girlfriends at Donna’s pool. I think it’s great because she is finally getting an opportunity to stretch out her shoulder, which has been giving her grief since we arrived here. She also went grocery shopping to get, among other things, bananas, pineapples, and strawberries to make me a killer smoothie!

Feeling blessed today.

Chao.
