Easton and I had a very interesting workout this morning. Henry led us all down to the beach. The tide was out and there was a wide, flat, hard sand area between the seawall and the ocean for us to work out on. Henry marked out corners of a large square on the sand. We did different types of running and other exercises on each side of the square, including push ups, sit ups, bananas and supermen, more bicicletas and squats.
We did a lot of exercising laying on the wet hard sand which was fine…except the tide was coming in. So basically we did half of our work out in the surf. Previous to this though, Henry already had us running through tide pools; doing crab crawls through them, and rolling each one us through these pools so we were completely soaked any way.
It was a killer workout. So bad in fact, by the time I could get myself standing upright for what ever exercise he was barking out, he already was barking at us to get back down on the ground for the next exercise. I missed almost the entire set just trying to stand up! I’m sure it must look comical…my exercise became just trying to stand up and just trying to get back down. I’m only 5 feet 9 and shrinking but out there it seemed like such a large distance to manage!
Heidi finished her jewelry class. She made a great looking pendant. Starting with only a small square of silver, she sawed it, cut it, hammered and pounded it, soldered and molded it to create something really very beautiful. I do have a gifted wife for sure!
Started as base piece of silver…

Sterling Silver
…and ended as a fine piece of jewelry!

Seven Cup Pendant
We got together with some expats tonight, had dinner, drank wine, played dice games, and laughed a lot. We were able to talk Easton into coming with us on this one, and I guess as a reward for his flexibility and willingness to hangout with a room full of people his parents age, he was the big winner!
Chao!
